R&B singer JoJo turned 28 this week and as a birthday gift (and early Christmas gift) to her fans, the singer has pulled the ultimate clap back to her former label.

JoJo has released a new 2018 edition of both her self-titled 2004 debut album and 2006’s The High Road.’

The new release features re-recorded vocals and slightly new arrangements. As fans know, both albums were removed from digital retailers and streaming platforms by her former label Blackground Records, which prevented her from releasing any music while she was under contract.

This is also the same issue for artist like Aaliyah, Tank, and Toni Braxton who all released projects on Blackground.

“My former label removed my music,” JoJo tweeted last year. “I unfortunately have absolutely no control over what they do or don’t do.”

Well on Friday, she took control and gave fans what they wanted. Get into both albums below, with more mature and updated vocals.
